What about Anadi's Moghlai..i love that..by the way the cheese omlette in T3 on park street is awesome..somehow you left out the club culture of Bengal..either you have para club or you have those Babu clubs like Tolly,RCGC,Calcutta,Saturday club etc..now of course DKS has become the Calcutta Club of middle class..good post..cheers

Bengalis have two things that they surpass all-how to write well and second how to write well about waht they love esp thier own Colcatta..whatever the facts may be or whatever the rest of the world says about them and the state ..These two reasons are enough for me NOT to write anything nasty about colcutta..and I wish i could sample all seventy when I gather enough courage due to this write up to actually GO to and saty in the city of JOY..I hope they give to each other and others MORE..less bandhs more work and less talk and writing..

Nice work! But more sentiment than fact. If you have been to 7 other countries in the world, you would find 700 reasons not to stay in Kolkata. Most of us know it deep inside our minds what is wrong with our city and people.
"Adda" is actually a very bad habit, eve-teasing, laziness, know-all attitude, "gali cricket" & "whole night function" with major sound pollution & extortion problems are rooted in this adda. Food habits of people here are extremely unhealthy in terms of cleanliness and of calories. Just check the size of the stomach of an average citizen, and look at their faces how happy and fit they feel inside.
Millions of decent & educated people are constantly trying to leave Kolkata to settle in foreign cities, at least in Mumbai or Delhi. The ones who are left without a choice are praising the things that are insignificant and laughable.
