The day I got this gift of my parents, this precious gift, the very strength of my survival. “Your timing was right.,” my younger brother says to me. I came, when My Parents were sending secret prayers for a daughter (my yng bro says). My elder brother was already four and a half years old when I was born. My grandmother would get angry on my Baba & Ma for making such a fuss over a daughter & neglecting their first born (Ma says). My yng bro followed me to this world within two years. He was waiting for his turn & bless this home with his positive vibrations.
Baba said never go against nature. He & Ma allowed us to bloom, as nature had wanted us to be. We were allowed to have our own timings, follow our own interests.
A few years, I started doing my Riyaz at four in the morning. That was the suitable time for my voice practice. My yng brother would say “SO JA -- RAJ KUMARI SOO JAAAAA”. My pencils, watercolors, oil colors, would remain scattered all around. My first bicycle - -- Baba taught me how to ride one. My brothers pursued science, totally different fields.
There are so many happy memories that I would go on & on. T hey are the backbone of my existence.
You know diamonds are always small, but they are forever. So were my days with both my parents. They ended too soon. My mother was left with three teens. We became a fist, to gain strength, now (I know, Baba Desired So)
Many things happened. Some are there locked in my diaries, kept safer than my checkbook & cash. All were meant for my Baba to read. Sleep less nights I sat on the terrace, spoke to sparkling stars, to the cool moon, to the soft breeze, to the lone birds that show their presence at night by giving a call. They all knew my Baba. My Baba introduced me to them. I asked them if they knew anything about my Baba’s where about. I wanted to post him --------------
I know, he must have read when I was writing. Who knows, perhaps there was no need to write; he was very much with me, when I thought I was left alone-----
HAPPY PARENTS’ DAY

Ma= Mother
